January Topic: Safe Winter Driving

Winter is already here and this presentation by the Ministry of Transportation reminds drivers how to be prepared for challenging driving conditions.

By attending this presentation, attendees will learn about:

  • the driving process and how primary and secondary tasks, along with what we call the "human factor" can result in dangerous driving situations
  • how to properly prepare ourselves and our vehicles for winter driving
  • what kind of conditions you can expect on Ontario roads during the winter and how best to manage in those conditions
  • How Ontario manages teh snow removal process and when you can expect roas to be cleared
  • All-season tires versus winter or hybrid tires and the benefits of tire maintenance
  • How to find out more about Ontario road conditions before you travel
