About this event

Join Big Brothers Big Sisters of Langley for their upcoming fundraising event “The Big Social”. This will be a great evening to connect with the local Langley community and raise important funds to empower youth through mentorship. This event will be at local Langley venue 'The Koop', a super fun, intimate, rustic space with a stage for music, pool tables and more!

The evening starts with 2 hours of samples & tasters for guests! You can expect samples from different local craft breweries, wineries and distilleries. Here are a few of the local drinkeries you can expect on site; Smugglers Trail Caskworks, Steamworks Brewery, Roots & Wings Distillery, Mainland Whiskey, Hester Creek Estate Winery, Arterra Wines and MORE!

Food will be provided by Black Walnut Catering Company; a division of Raving Gamer Bistro!

There will be live music from local country artists Amy Bakker, Tony Stevens & Karen Lee Batten!

*Amy Bakker* has a beautiful voice and a passion for music that you may have seen on the brewery scene! This talented singer/songwriter will be joining us between 6pm-8pm during the beverage tastings!
*Tony Stevens* is making some serious headway in the country music industry! His recent' hit single “Whiskey in Colorado”, was just nominated for multiple 2024 Canadian Country Music Awards & has hit the Top 10 for iHeart Country Canada! We are honoured to have him share his talent and passion with us on October 5th. You won't want to miss it.
*Karen Lee Batten* is an Abbotsford based 8-time BCCMA Female artist of the year and was a Top Ten Finalist on Canadian Idol. With hit song after hit song landing her at the top of the Country music scene, she is excited to join us in celebration of our mentorship programs.

After the sampling there will also be a cash bar available, late night snacks (including a sweet treat provided by The Candy Curio) and a variety of games and engaging activities including: Pool, Corn Hole and Point Pong. We will be hosting a 50/50 and gift card/prize raffle to help raise money to fund and support our essential 1:1 mentorship programs throughout Langley.

All of this is included with your ticket! This is a 19+ event.

100% of the proceeds from this event are used to fund and support the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Langley 1:1 and group mentorship programs throughout Langley! We hope you can join us! To find out more about our agency visit our website: Home | Big Brothers Big Sisters of Langley
