Recently Erika travelled to Newfoundland. Her talk will focus on the flora of western Newfoundland’s boreal forests, widespread bogs, and serpentine and limestone barrens.


Erika Schroedersecker is a passionate plantswoman. She grew up with keen gardeners as parents.Her father built a rock garden, perennial bedsand,later on, a water garden. Erika’s parents stoked and encouragedher interest in plants and the natural world.As a young teenager she took over her parents’ garden, and began buying and importing plants from nurseries in North America. Alpines and bulbs are herpassion with a particular focus on South African bulbs.She enjoys hiking and botanizing in Ontario.Erika also grows rare, challenging plants, and surroundsherself with beauty.
