Aliya Kanani (@aliyakanani):
Aliya has enjoyed performing on major stages around the world, in Australia, Europe, South Africa, USA and Canada. She recently took part in the prestigious Johannesburg International Comedy Festival and was invited to join the residency at the Steele City Arts Foundation. Her award-winning solo show, ‘Where You From, From?’, debuted with sold out shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and went on to sell out the complete run of the Just for Laughs Festival in the same year! She continued to tour her show internationally, including sell out shows at Fringe World festival in Perth, Sydney Comedy Festival and Edinburgh Fringe. She recently won ‘Best of Fest’ at Ottawa Fringe and ‘Patron’s Pick’ at Toronto Fringe. Aliya is now on tour with her new solo show ‘Wine + Yoga’, with invitations to festivals in Australia, Canada and USA this year!

Patrick Hakeem is a star in Canada’s comedy scene, known for his quick wit and infectious charm. With performances at prestigious festivals like JFL Toronto, Icebreakers, Ice Cold, Zoofest, and NXNE, he’s proven himself as a comedic force to be reckoned with. Originally from Montreal, Patrick’s multicultural background adds depth and richness to his comedic perspective. As a half-Syrian, half-Ecuadorian first-generation Canadian who grew up in an all-Italian neighbourhood, he brings a unique blend of cultural influences to his comedy. Patrick engages with the crowd, effortlessly weaving in heartfelt rants and spontaneous interactions that leave audiences roaring with laughter. Whether he’s poking fun at societal norms or sharing personal anecdotes, Patrick’s comedic style is both playful and profound, showcasing his talent for finding humour in life’s everyday moments.

James Cummins has toured the country with the Triple Decker Comedy Tour and the James Cummins Everywhere Tour, showcasing his unique comedic style and relatable storytelling. He has performed at renowned comedy clubs and festivals, including Just For Laughs Toronto and the Dark Comedy Festival. James is known for finding humour in everyday situations and turning them into hilarious anecdotes. His comedic timing and delivery captivate audiences, leaving them in stitches and eagerly awaiting his next punchline. With his infectious energy and undeniable talent, James Cummins continues to make waves in the comedy world, bringing laughter to audiences nationwide.

Hershawn Arora is one of Toronto’s brightest young comics. His high-energy style, cerebral crowd work, and vulnerable material set him apart from his peers. In 2023, Hershawn was named an International Roast Battle™ All-Star and made his Just For Laughs Toronto debut by recording with Just For Laughs Originals. With a loyal online following that is rising in numbers, he has sold out his last eleven independently produced shows. A fan-favourite at nearly all Toronto comedy clubs and a regular at the world-famous Your Hood's a Joke, Hershawn has been recognized as one of the most promising acts in the city and has no intention of slowing down.
