About Associate Professor Stuart Lane
Associate Professor Lane is director of the MD program at Sydney Medical School, and a senior staff specialist in Intensive Care Medicine at Nepean Hospital. He has a decorated record for teaching, being awarded multiple awards for teaching excellence at national, state, and faculty levels. His primary research interest is phenomenological analysis of human experience. He has implemented the first intensive care unit follow-up clinic in NSW, developing knowledge and theory to optimize patient experience and management while they are in the ICU and beyond. He is also a keen ocean swimmer, and in 2017, swam the English Channel, raising $12,500 to assist chronic critical illness research.
