About this event
You are invited to a Virtual Public Open House to participate in the Township's review of the Community Improvement Plan (CIP) on January 27th, 2021. A CIP is a tool available to municipalities to facilitate and encourage private sector investment in broad community improvement and revitalization goals and objectives. The Township has been administering a CIP for about six years, and it has positively contributed to the revitalization of the core areas of King City, Nobleton and Schomberg.
While the CIP has experienced tremendous uptake from the community, the Township has identified an opportunity for potential improvements and refinements to ensure its continued success. This Project will therefore review the CIP and its financial incentive programs (FIPS) to seek potential modifications and updates.
The Virtual Public Open House provides an opportunity for the community to learn more about the Project, provide input, and interact with Township staff and the lead consultant, WSP.
The outcome of this Project will be an updated CIP. A draft of the updated CIP will be made available for public review following the Virtual Public Open House.
Please note that a high-speed internet connection is recommended for a full experience, however an alternative phone number will also be provided to join without internet access.
Please RSVP by 12:00 pm on January 27th, 2021. The meeting link will be emailed to you before the Virtual Public Open House.
We will do our best to provide any requested accommodations (please email kharrison@king.ca or call (905) 833-4065 for more information). In the event that we are not able to provide a requested accommodation, we will work with you to identify another way to receive your feedback.
