About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 30 minutes

Active Bystander Training (TAB) helps participants recognize themselves as potential bystanders who can step in when witnessing harmful, isolating or stigmatizing behaviour. It raises awareness about the hesitation to act and encourages proactive responses in the future. The training covers issues like interpersonal violence (e.g., bullying, physical violence, relationship abuse and sexual violence) and signs of loneliness or emotional distress.

On a broader level, this training empowers individuals to address problematic situations using nonviolence, fostering a more caring and supportive community. It inspires personal action and highlights how everyday choices can make a positive difference.

Cost: Pay what you can ($1-$25 is suggested). Please note that tax receipts cannot be issued for payment.

The event is open to any community members who would like to participate but is best suited for participants aged 13 and older.
