Workshops will include presentation of information, small group discussion and problem solving, as well as a chance to connect with other caregivers. These events are designed for adult caregivers only.

Concurrent child programming will be run by Behaviour Interventionists. There will be 10 child program spots per session available for sign up on a first-come-first-served basis (select "Child Program" add-on).

Using Positive Replacement Behaviours to Decrease Concerning Behaviours

Who: Caregivers of children and youth age 2-19 with all levels of support needs.

What: Children often engage in concerning behaviours because they don’t know how to communicate their wants or have the skill to select a behaviour that appropriately meets their needs. Replacement behaviours address concerning behaviours by teaching positive and useful alternative choices. Help your child to build a toolbox of strategies to effectively communicate and address their own wants and needs with safe, non-disruptive and functional skills.

When: Saturday October 19, 2024. 10:00-12:00
