VFS In-Production Bootcamp | Hallmark Moviemaking Magic

Get on-set experience in Hallmark TV movie production with industry directors, writers, & actors.

Just in time for the holiday season, Vancouver Film School presents a 3-day, In-Production Bootcamp for writers, actors, and directors to experience the industry production pipeline of a Christmas Hallmark movie. Hallmark movies have fast become a holiday staple and a quintessential Christmas tradition. Vancouver is the primary shooting location for countless Hallmark classics, including Time to for Her to Come Home for Christmas and Christmas on Cherry Lane, making VFS’s campus the perfect setting for this industry production experience.

Writer Zachary Hug along with industry actors and a special guest director will join us in studio to work directly with you for a once-in-a-lifetime production experience over two days.

PLUS, Emmy-nominated Director/Writer/Producer (and Hallmark movie legend!) Ron Oliver will kick off the event on Day 1 with an Ask Me Anything (AMA) on breaking into Vancouver’s entertainment industry and how he’s built his own successful career in film, television, and as an author.

This event is Vancouver Film School’s latest way of bringing the industry to YOU! Experience working on a professional TV set as a writer, actor, or director and bring a short 5-page scene to life in just 2 days!

Take part in industry workshops and a table read as part of the pre-production process and on Day 3, the scene will be filmed. This is an incredible opportunity to gain practical experience that you can take with you into your career.
