As the 2024 fruit-picking season has come to an end, we invite you to help us celebrate this year’s successes at our Season Wrap-Up Party! This is an opportunity for us to show our appreciation for our amazing community members and a way to meet people involved with the VFTP, learn more about our work and connect with like-minded people! The event will be Tuesday Dec 10, 7:00 PM. It will be a potluck event, with poetry, music and a fundraising raffle!
This season, we rescued just over 4,500 pounds of fruit, and this was only possible through the help of all our amazing community members, including team leads, fruit pickers, drivers, donors, partners and tree owners, and we want to say a big thank you for all your assistance! All the incredible work we do is made possible by the continued support of our dedicated community members.
This is a great opportunity for existing, new and interested volunteers, tree owners and community members to connect and we can’t wait to meet you in person.

The Vancouver Fruit Tree Project acknowledges that this event and the work we do takes place on the traditional, unceded territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ílwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples. We are privileged to be here and are committed to the ongoing care of these lands with our host nations.
Please RSVP via this event page or via email (coordinator@vancouverfruittree.com).
This is a free event , we ask you to consider donating to the project so we can continue to further our mission to streghten food security in Vancouver by celebrating and distributing the bounty of our local fruit trees, reducing fruit waste, and cultivating community in our neighbourhoods.
