About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

WAHC’s Youth Council is a group of young people: artists, students, union and community activists, ages 16-29, who have a common interest in exploring the challenges youth currently face at work and in the world, with a view towards grater social justice and inclusion for all.

What Do We Do? With support from our staff, Youth Council organizes events and projects in collaboration with the wider community that aim to empower youth, amplify youth voices, and uplift young workers.

What is WAHC? Workers Arts and Heritage Centre (WAHC) is a community museum in Hamilton founded by labour historians, artists, and union and community activists that celebrates the history of workers and labour. We offer a diverse array of exhibitions, workshops, educational programs, digital projects, and community events that explore perspectives in labour history, social justice, and contemporary labour issues.
