About this event

    Walking on Water (GR 1-6)

    Bow Habitat Station

There’s no watering the science down: measuring and observing fish habitat can tell us everything we need to know about the health of Alberta’s aquatic ecosystems. Using a trout’s point of view and high standards of habitat, students will enjoy an interactive presentation complete with hands-on investigation stations that let them explore the science used in the field to monitor and care for our most precious resource. Stories of Alberta students participating in the Fish In Schools program and the Environmental Student Action Challenge will inspire students to roll up their sleeves and plunge in! Towels will be needed after this immersive aquatic experience!
