Wandering Wednesday: Fall Hike at Backus Woods

Join us next week for a serene autumn hike through the vibrant landscapes of Backus Woods, where the fall colours are at their peak. This time, we’ll be hiking a different trail off the 4th Concession. With a high of 20°C, it’s expected to be a balmy day—perfect for spending time outdoors and exploring the beauty of the restored forests, highlighting the amazing conservation efforts by the Nature Conservancy of Canada.

Important Directions: Be sure to come in from Highway 59. Google may try to mislead you with a 4x4 route that can get you stuck—so trust us on this one.

This 2-hour hike will offer a chance to recharge, connect with nature, and capture the wonders of autumn with your camera. Don't miss the opportunity to breathe in the crisp air, admire the golden leaves, and immerse yourself in the peaceful surroundings.

What to Bring: Dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear. Bring your camera to capture the magic of the season.

We look forward to seeing you on the trail as we explore nature’s autumn showcase.
