  • Event lasts 1 day 22 hours

    You will learn how to weave on a 4-harness floor loom. Participants will learn “the Karen Method” of warping. This is a great course for a beginner weaver as well as people interested in learning the back to front dressing method. You will learn the entire process of weaving. From measuring your warp threads to cutting your first project off the loom!3 Days of fun and learning!

    Lunch will be provided on Saturday and SundayWhere: The Weaving and Fibre Art Studio, 76 Front St, in the beautiful Village of Gagetown, NB E5M 1A1Supply list to be sent at time of registration.About our Instructor: Karen LeBlanc has been weaving for over 50 years has exhibited internationally, nationally, regionally, and locally and participated in residencies in Fredericton, Toronto and Parrsboro. In 2019, four woven wearables were part of the ArtWear fashion show and exhibition in Fort Collins CO. In 2022, Karen has created two public art installations and participated in one outdoor temporary public art installation. Karen is a member of several professional organizations: American Tapestry Alliance, Handweavers Guild of America, CraftNB, Guild of Canadian Weavers, CraftNS, and many more.
