About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

How can we best support disabled newcomers as they navigate their new lives in Toronto?

This is the question at the heart of Serving Newcomers with Disabilities, the upcoming webinar from the Toronto West Local Immigration Partnership's Education Resources Action Group. Starting with a foundation of legislative requirements under the Access for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), presenter Susan Webb will build a framework of practical strategies, including aids for communication and writing. She will also share details about visual and optical aids as well as learning disability aids, all to support aiding newcomers with disabilities.

This webinar is open to all service providers, with a focus on the newcomer-serving sector.
