About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Calling all little adventurers! TVCC is partnering with Childreach to offer an outdoor play group to our families! At Wild Child, we will head into the woods to play and explore in a natural setting. We will be touching and observing different plants and insects and exploring the natural environment.

This program is an opportunity to demystify the risks of outdoor play and increase confidence and competence in child-led, inquiry-based outdoor play.

Wild Child is a Childreach program running through the week. These 2 special dates will have TVCC staff present to help parents/caregivers learn how to navigate outdoor play with their child with special needs. Please dress for any weather and bring water and snacks.

Both outdoor locations are a mix of flat terrain and natural environment. Both locations are in open outdoor settings. This program is best suited for children who can be safe in unfenced outdoor spaces, are able to follow directions, and who can navigate natural outdoor terrain with some assistance. Parents/caregivers must accompany their children throughout the entire program. Siblings are welcome to attend.

This is a partnership program with Childreach.
