Dr. Roopinder K. Sandhu MPH, FHRS, is a clinician-scientist and Professor in the Department of Cardiac Sciences at the University of Calgary. She is the Martha Brauer Chair in Women’s Cardiovascular Health Research and serves as the Director of the Women’s Cardiovascular Health Clinic (under-development) and Initiative. Dr. Sandhu’s research program focuses on epidemiology and health services research within the field of cardiac electrophysiology (heart rhythm doctor), with a particular focus on atrial fibrillation (AF), syncope, and sudden cardiac death (SCD).

Dr. Sandra Dumanski is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Calgary. Dr. Dumanski is a nephrologist (kidney doctor) and scientist whose program of research endeavors to understand the complex relationships between female reproductive health, sex hormones, and cardiovascular risk. Dr Dumanski is the Community Outreach and Engagement Lead for the Libin Cardiovascular Institute Women’s Cardiovascular Health Initiative, a valued member of the Canadian Women's Heart Health Alliance, and is the Central Lead for ‘Wear Red Canada’, celebrated annually to raise awareness of women’s heart health.

Dr. Kara Nerenberg is an Associate Professor and Clinician-Scientist at the University of Calgary working in the areas of General Internal Medicine and Obstetric Medicine. Dr. Nerenberg’s clinical and research interests focus prevention of cardiovascular diseases in women after common pregnancy complications, mainly the hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. Her research is supported by CIHR and Heart & Stroke’s Women’s Heart and Brain Health Mid-Career Research Chair.
