Yin & Pins: A Restorative Healing Experience

Our event will be held in the heart of Collingwood at the cosy Cedarwood Wellness(formerly Cedar + Sage).

Consider this evening an opportunity to delve into luxurious time and space, allowing yourself to indulge in deep rest.✨

Our well-rounded and heart-driven experience combines the complementary modalities of Yin yoga & acupucture to get you out of your head and into your body. ❤️

What to Expect:

  • Yin Yoga: Kelsey will guide you through a 60-minute gentle, slow-paced yoga practice that targets hard to reach connective tissues, improving energy & blood flow and promoting relaxation. Poses will be held for several minutes, encouraging deep tension release and mindfulness.
  • Acupuncture: During an extended savasana and Nidra, our acupuncturist Meg will place ultra-fine needles at specific points on your body to promote energy flow, reduce stress, and encourage healing.

Do I need to be practicing yoga regularly to attend?

Everyone is welcome here! ❤️

Our events are designed for all levels of yoga experience. Whether you can touch your toes or not, this will be a day of bliss, movement, community, mindfulness and good times.

Yoga isn't about touching your toes, it's what you learn on the way down.

Kelsey

The Yoga, Meditation & Breathwork

Kelsey is a yoga & meditation teacher with a passion for making people feel connected to themselves, others & the world around us.

Her many creative passions keep her in the dance of continuously learning and sharing. She loves hosting a variety of events including: yoga, art, meditation & all things wellness. She has a playful approach to yoga & life. Her teaching is grounded in the idea that creating an inner stillness through moving with breath on the mat allows us to experience more moments that feel spacious and joyful in our lives off the mat.

She has studied vinyasa, yin, advanced asana, philosophy, meditation and pre/post natal yoga, hot & cold therapy and pranayama with an emphasis on meditative and fluid movement animated by the breath.

Meghan

The Acupucture

Meghan is a registered acupuncturist with strong ties to her local community, having been born and raised in Wasaga Beach, Ontario. Her journey into Chinese medicine began during her time on Vancouver Island, where she sought holistic methods to manage stress from her demanding job. After experiencing the profound benefits of acupuncture firsthand, Meghan was inspired to pursue a deeper understanding of this ancient practice. She completed a comprehensive three-year program in Barrie, Ontario, specializing in traditional Chinese medical theory, and obtained an advanced Honours diploma in Acupuncture and Chinese medicine.


Meg believes education is the best way to empower patients. With compassion and personalized care, she draws upon her education, intuition and wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine to create a holistic and patient- centred approach.
