About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

YMCA Youth Action is all about you. This event is FREE to join and is open to all youth ages 10 to 14 years old. We have created a spot for you to be physically active, hang out with friends, and play some games. Our Youth Action staff team is there to turn your ideas into a great night. This is going to be fun so we hope to see you there!

Once registered, confirmation information and instructions on how to join the event will be emailed to the address you provide. When you receive your confirmation, click on "View the Event" to see more information.

**Please Note** Pre-registration for this program site is required. Those arriving at the program site without registering in advance will not be allowed entry that night. Registration for each weekly program will open the morning after the previous week and will close 30 minutes prior to the program start time.

**Also Note** If you are a parent registering your child please enter the name, birthdate, age, phone number etc for each youth attending the event. Please do not enter your name as we require an accurate list of those attending the program prior to its start.

Frequently asked questions

I have registered but should I arrive early to make sure I have my spot?

As there is no outside supervision prior to 6pm we would ask that you do not arrive early. If you have registered successfully, your entry is confirmed by email and is added to our attendance list. We will open the doors at 6:00pm, verify your registration and give you entry to the site.

My ride home can't get there until 8:30 or so. Can I wait until they arrive?

There is no supervision of the program site once the program ends at 8:00pm. Please make sure that you have a safe way home and can be picked up promptly at 8:00pm, as participants are asked to leave the area once the program finishes for the evening.

Why do you need so much information about me?

We want to make sure everyone is safe and has a good time, and to do that we need to know who's coming to hang out with us. We need contact information for a parent or guardian so we can contact someone should the need arise. A parent email address helps us relay information about program changes.

I used to be able to just arrive at the program site and join in. Why the change?

We want to make sure that everyone who attends has fun and stays safe but, sometimes, a program site gets so busy that we need to change our systems a bit. Moving to a weekly registration allows us to keep track of who is attending so we can be prepared to deliver a great program.

You used to allow more people into the program. Why did you change how many can attend?

Our goal is to give as many youth as possible a chance to take part in the program but there are times when we need to lower the number of participants in order to make sure everyone is safe. Sometimes the space is just too small for that many people so we have to make a change.

I don't want to sign up in advance, can I register at the door?

At this time you won't be able to register at the door as the on-site staff will not have the capacity to both verify existing registrations and create new ones at the same time. Registration for next week will open the morning after the program ends so you have lots of time to get on the list!
