Debra Borys, PhD (she/her) is a licensed clinical/health psychologist in Los Angeles, specializing in trauma, disaster response, grief/loss and assistance with major life transitions for 34 years. She has completed advanced training in eco-psychology and co-chairs the LA County Psychological Association’s Eco-Psychology Special Interest Group. A member of the Climate Psychology Alliance of North America’s Scientist Support, Climate Disaster and Expressive Arts Committees, she also regularly conducts climate cafes for the public and impacted professional groups.
Joanna Calabrese, LMFT (she/her) is a licensed, climate-aware marriage and family therapist in Northern California supporting people working in the environmental and climate fields. A former political advocate turned therapist, she spent nearly two decades lobbying for climate and sustainability policies on Capitol Hill, at universities, and for grassroots nonprofits. Today she runs a private therapy practice and offers groups and gatherings focused on cultivating emotional and psychological resilience in the midst of the climate crisis. She is a member of the Climate Psychology Alliance of North America's Scientist Support Committee.
